His goal was to create a product that:
 (1) prevents accidents and provides fall protection for people and forklifts at truck loading docks
(2) is simple in engineering design yet effective in stopping the forces of a moving forklift at truck docks
(3) is affordable for all truck loading docks making the commitment to a safer environment easier.

This design is a system of steel brackets mounted on protective door bollards with a steel or aluminum I-beam mounted securely across the door opening. A steel counterweight is used to balance the forces on the beam for easy upward rotation and lowering. Since meeting Jack in the mid 1990's we have made numerous design improvements and Jack secured a patent in 1997.
