  • CR-200: Aluminum I-Beam designed to stop forklift and loads to 9500 lbs at 4 mph.

  • CR-300: Steel I-Beam designed to stop forklift and loads to 13,000 lbs at 4 mph.

counterweight giving balance and ease of operation.

  • Safety: The dock attendant releases the latch (shown at left) to raise the barrier.
When fully raised, the barrier automatically locks in place to prevent movement
by contact from people, objects, or UFF's (unidentified flying forklifts).

            - The beam must be released by the attendant for lowering.
            - When fully lowered the beam automatically locks into place.
            - Safety decals and reflective safety tape are included.
  • Installation : Heavy duty steel brackets( 5/8" & 3/4" HR Plate) are mounted on

$$ Affordable: Our design is cost effective! The average cost per dock door is less than $2,800. delivered with small variations depending on the layout and complexity of your dock door and whether you use the CR-200 or CR-300 models. Other products that actually work can cost 2 to 3 times as much.Even if you need to install bollards(posts) you will still spend less!
Design Capacity: The CR-300 uses a steel I-beam and will stop 13,000 lbs at 4 mph. This is important if you use forklifts above 3M or 4M capacities. Nearly all other barrier products are limited in the moving load capacity they can handle.
Portable & Reversible: The barrier mounting components and beams are designed to be reversible at your docks. You may be able to change the pivot side if needed. Moving? You can take them with you! You might have to get a new beam, but that's affordable.
    Do you lease a building?
If there are posts at the doors, you can have a safer loading dock without losing your investment.
Minimum Space Required: The brackets and beam use about 14" in front of the door posts when stored. The side clearance needed on the latching side is about 6". The clearance requested for the counterweight side is 24 to 36 inches. We can and have made units with as little as 17" of availabe space in between door post on adjacent doors. It all depends on your specific layout & needs.

Full Access: During off-loading the mounting brackets and beam are out of the way giving full access to your opening.
The Best Support Structure for secure mounting that can handle the impact of a forklift is a concrete (5,000 PSI) filled bollard that uses schedule 80 pipe and is embedded 12"into the floor.
Don't trust floor mounting bolts that can shear or pull-out from the forces created by a moving forklift.
Simple Installation: Installation on existing door bollards (posts) takes two people about 25 to 45 minutes.
The CARR Safety barrier comes with "ALL" required hardware, reflective safety tape, and safety decals for a smooth installation.
Safely Stop: If a forklift needs to be stopped, the CARR Safety Barrier stops it before it possibly goes through the overhead door unlike barriers that use a dock leveler lip that is raised when stored.
